Feedburner and Email Subscriptions
I've started playing with Feedburner to experiment with RSS feeds. Blogger has an atom feed, but using Feedburner I can track the number of feeds that are drawing content from this blog. In addition I've added an email subscription tool on the right hand side of the page that is driven by Feedburner.
Lists are the lifeblood of many non-profits. Over years collection of names, addresses, and recently email provide a way to contact subscribers, donors, applicants, and many other individuals essential for the viability of an organization.
The Feedburner subscription tool allows csv or xls downloads of all subscribers and will flag subscribers who have had 10 or more unsuccessful send attempts. It automatically deactivates those subscribers.
