Non Profit Commons in Second Life
Today we were introduced to the nonprofit commons and the offices associated with them. As I've written before, Tech Soup, part of CompuMentor, is helping organize an amazing conglomerate, on Second Life, of nonprofits. The land donor, anshe
chung studios, has done an amazing job creating a truly breath taking space.

Sony F717 Update
Yesterday I was notified by email that the Sony repair shop in Laredo Texas had my camera. I got on line and entered the work order number in the Sony site and it indicated that my camera was with a repair technician and the repair could take between 5 and 10 days.

Through WESTAF, I'm working on a project right now with the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs in which there will be some kind of blogging component. I'm not going to go into specific details of the project as elements are still being fleshed out. It will be a Web 2.0 style site with lots of community building tools.

Way Back Machine
There is a fun tool on the Web called the Way Back Machine. Basically it is an archive of Web sites going back to 1996. Want to know what Yahoo! looked like in 1996? How about CNN on August 15th, 2000? How about Drupal in 2001?

Today I received an email from the Joost Team to join the beta. They have created an OSX client but it has to be operated on an Intel based Mac.

More Signs of Spring
Despite we have been told by the weather man that Wednesday night could bring another blanket of snow there are more encouraging signs of spring.
My lilacs are starting to bud. The forsythia is flowering in the back yard, our lawn is greening up.
