I recall a Larson comic that read, "Welcome to Heaven, here's your harp. Welcome to Hell, here's your accordian." That said, the accordian, in the right hands, can be a wonderful instrument. I am particularly fond of the Basque musical tradition's use of the accordian. Interestingly, Roland has produced a 100% digital accordian. It doesn't just sound like one...it looks like one.
