Library Begins Loaning iPod Shuffles.

The South Huntington Public Library on Long Island NY is conducting a very cool experiment. They are loaning out the new iPod shuffle for use with audio books. The program has the opportunity to save the library lots of money because most titles on CD run $75, but purchasing them from the iTunes Music Store only costs $15-$25.

This is a pretty smart idea that will probably take off in other libraries. My wife is on the library board in our home town... I may have to suggest this idea to her.
